Transportation Plan Map
THE CITY COUNCIL LISTENS TO CONCERNS ABOUT RIGHT-OF-WAY PURCHASE FOR MONROE BLVD.

North Ogden residents living in the vicinity of Monroe Blvd. expressed their concerns over North Ogden's plan to purchase right-of-way for the future construction of Monroe Blvd.  The extension of Monroe Blvd. from North Ogden's southern boundary to the future Skyline Drive has been a part of North Ogden's transportation plan since 1980 and was included in its 2008 transportation plan.

Much of this road has already been built when subdivisions such as Green Acres, Scottish Highland, Warren and the Cove were constructed.  Residents who spoke to the Council said they knew that Monroe Blvd. would be built when they purchased their homes but they were still concerned about the traffic, speed, safety and the change to our community this road will bring.

North Ogden's transportation plan is a comprehensive evaluation of the City's current traffic condition and a plan for future road construction that will be necessary to keep traffic moving in, out and around North Ogden.  The City recently received a $2 million grant to purchase the right-of-way in order to preserve the corridor for future construction.

Most of Monroe Blvd. will be constructed  as it has in the past - through subdivision construction.
