CITY CELEBRATES ARBOR DAY BY PLANTING CHERRY TREES

Mayor Richard Harris proclaimed April 26, 2013 as Arbor Day in the City of North Ogden and urges all citizens to support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands.  Mayor Harris also urges all citizens to plant and care for trees to gladden the heart and promote the well-being of this and future generations.

In honor of Arbor Day, the City planted three cherry trees at the City office.  City Manager Ron Chandler said:  "Cherries have played an important part of North Ogden's history.  In fact, we celebrate the history of cherries in North Ogden every 4th of July during the Cherry Days celebration.  I hope that these cherry trees will always remind the North Ogden residents of their proud history."
